Well hey howdy hello!

Got some super exciting news for you, so there'll be no beating around any bushes, real or figurative.

We've just launched the first two (yes, the first TWO) episodes of Mic Drop Season 02 here and on our Facebook page. There's Emma Wollum (massively funny musical comedian and winner of 2017 Wellington Comedy Award for Best Joke), and Cohen Holloway (from the movies, Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and Thor: Ragnarok).

The view counts for these two episodes are climbing at a very pleasing rate, so go check 'em out now.

And one other holy-moly-frijoles exciting thing is we now have Mic Drop MERCHANDISE. Ooh yeah, we sure do. Head on over to our Merch Store to score yourself some sweet Mic Drop swag.

We'll be uploading new designs to the store all the time, so bookmark it and keep heading back. Every cent we earn from merch sales will help us create more amazing kiwi comedy.

Right, friends!

It has been a few weeks since the "Wellington Mic Drop" Season 2 filming, so I figured I'd update you on how things are going.

All the various video footage (four feeds) and audio clips (six feeds) have now been collated and the painstaking cutting/editing process has begun. 

We also managed to catch some behind-the-scenes interviews and supplementary footage during the two live shows, so we'll be using that to make a second episode of our other series, "Mic Drop Presents..."

Masterfully crafting this media pile into 17 WMD episodes AND one MDP episode... is going to be an EPIC TASK for our editor (Ben). He's going to need all the positive thoughts we can throw his way (and probably caffeine and/or sugar).

As soon as there's something to release, we'll let you know!

Wahoo! The crowdfunding target was reached and our little project is fully funded!

Ooh yeah it's a great feeling when the community comes together to help a local group achieve something wonderful.

We're going to use the donations to professionally film and record some incredibly comedians doing their best stuff, and make something the whole capital can be proud of.

Just a quick heads up to let you know we've confirmed all of our fantastic Wellington Mic Drop Season 02 performers, and added them to the COMEDIANS page, including bios about each and every one of them. 

There are 18 comics in total. EIGHTEEN. Holy guacamole! That's almost double what we had in Season 01.

Hey everybody!

It's Brad here (one of the Mic Drop producers), just giving you a little update on some things.

WELLINGTON MIC DROP SEASON 02
As you may already know, we're well into the planning stages of Wellington Mic Drop Season 02. We're really excited to film another fantastic lineup of comedians for your viewing pleasure, and this time it's bigger than ever!

We've got 17 comics lined up for season 02. 17 comics! That's almost twice the size of season 01. There's a great mix of big established names and rising stars, and we can't wait to get underway.

There's going to be a Boosted.org.nz crowdfunding campaign rolling out soon, to help cover some of the production costs, and we'll keep you informed about that as it progresses. If you want to donate a few bucks to help us make the show as good as it can be, that would be great. If not, that's cool too. 

MIC DROP PRESENTS...
The other exciting thing I want to tell you about is our other video series in production, "Mic Drop Presents...". It's a behind-the-scenes series, shining a spotlight on local shows and select local performers.

We just released our first episode of Mic Drop Presents, giving you a sneak peek at our monthly joke-swapping show, "I Didn't Write This". It was a crazy show, in front of a sold-out crowd, and you can check it out either here or on the Mic Drop Facebook page.
